The Lean Canvas is Based on Alex Osterwalder’s Business Model Canvas (BMC), but Optimized for Lean Startup. This Canvas is more problem focused than BMC, as it emphasize understanding the problem as a requisite first step. According to the man behind the Lean Canvas, Ash Maurya: “Lean Canvas was designed for entrepreneurs, not consultants, customers, advisors, or investors.”
Everyone is welcome and no prior knowledge of the Business model Canvas or Lean Canvas is required.
Canvas Introduction by Léopold Gasteen
The introduction to the Canvas will be extra exciting. Entrepreneur, Léopold Gasteen, who uses the Lean Canvas actively when he does Customer Development for his own Startups, Hireducated and Edgefolio, will come and give us an introduction to the Lean Canvas. He uses the Lean Canvas daily in his work, and will discuss how the hypothesis driven method of customer development can help any start up create a product that fits the market rather than one that fits the entrepreneur’s vision.
If you would like to read up on the Lean Canvas before the workshop you can find more information here: http://leancanvas.com/
